Grammy gave the kids a butterfly habitat for Easter. It came with a certificate to send away for six painted lady caterpillars. The kids got to watch them eat, then wrap themselves up in their chrysalises, and emerge about a week later. We kept them for a couple days and then let them go in the backyard.
I think their favorite part was holding each butterfly before they flew away.
