Hee hee! He's going to kill me for putting this picture up! It's okay, Rick, you're still a great-looking guy!
Rick sleeping on the surfboard, trying to catch up on some sleep. He didn't get very much while we were there with all the kids!
One of the highlights of our recent vacation was welcoming my little brother Rick home from his mission to Raleigh, NC. He's grown up so much! We're all so proud of him and the honorable mission he served. He had to give two talks yesterday in different wards. We were able to go to the first one before we had to drive back home. We walked in right as they were starting and noticed that President Eyring was sitting on the stand!!! Talk about feeling the pressure! Poor Rick! President Eyring was there visiting his daughter and son-in-law and wanted to share his testimony before heading out a little early. It was a powerful testimony, and the spirit was very strong. What a wonderful experience that was! Rick was scheduled to speak after him and was probably feeling good about the fact that President Eyring was going to leave before he started, but President Eyring turned to Rick after his testimony and pointed at him and smiled, and told him he was going to stay and listen. Rick kept his cool and made a show of loosening his collar, which made everyone chuckle. President Eyring kept looking over at Rick and smiling during his talk, and Rick did a GREAT job of not sounding nervous at all and delivering a great talk. Plus he got to shake his hand after the meeting was over. It was a wonderful sacrament meeting that I won't ever forget. What a great little bro I have!
