You have to really put some effort into getting in the Christmas spirit when the weather is still telling you it's early fall. The shopping malls around here go to extraordinary measures to get you in the mood to spend lots of money. At the outdoor mall near us, they have "snow" every half-hour for 10 minutes on weekend nights. The "snow" is some sort of lavender scented soap flake concoction. I was disappointed. I was looking forward to some real snow. But the kids loved it! Olivia and Kylie were entranced.
