Schnepf Farm

We had a fun weekend! Grammy was in town watching Charli and Boston while Janece and Scott were up in Utah. On Saturday we went and explored Schnepf Farm. It's only about a fifteen minute drive from us, but we've never been before. Boy were we missing out! A great play area for the kids, a petting zoo, a U-pick organic veggie garden, minature train ride, peach orchard, and lots of room to run! The best part: it was free, except for the train ride. I have a feeling this won't be the last time we spend a Saturday morning there.

The play area was for kids 6 and under. I don't think Todd got that memo. He was having as much fun as the kids!

Both the babies were climbing all over the play structures and bales of hay.

There were several slides to choose from. Evi liked this one the best because it was the fastest.

Kylie liked the swings this time.

There were lots of fun animals to see. Several peacocks, chickens...

and pygmy goats.

This big one eyeballed the babies for a long time. Might have something to do with the fact that they were right by the coin-operated food pellet dispenser.

I liked the baby cow. Baby cows are always cuter than big cows.

The donkey was really sweet. He came right up and put his head down for us to scratch.

The older kids loved this big slide. Livy didn't. Todd tried to go down with her and she slid down before him and came out the bottom pretty fast. Freaked out her and her mommy!

We only got to explore maybe half the farm before it was time to go, but not before we found a neglected grove of trees that at one point was supposed to be an enchanted wood. I think it's seen better days. Yes, that's Little Red Riding Hood's arm still connected to her basket sitting at her feet. Creepy!
