Todd loves to putter around his mom and dad's garden whenever we visit. He weeds, puts in new plants, and fixes whatever needs to be fixed. This year there were some trees around the yard that needed some pruning. Mark was a willing helper.

All the rest of us enjoyed sitting in the shade and giving them directions.

Even Gambols the chihuahua and Dabbs the 20-year-old cat had fun observing the boys climb and balance in the trees while trying to cut down dead limbs.

Easton and Evi had fun collecting ladybugs from around the yard and dodging the limbs as they were cut down and pulled to the pile in the backyard.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but Todd was FILTHY by the time he was done. He loved every minute of it. We really need to get a yard of our own sometime soon. I wish the economy would cooperate.

Did you type 20 yr old cat? Is that for real?
Y'all have a beautiful yard in AZ. Just think--you dont have to water very often!
Yeah, but it's not ours. So we can't really do anything to it. We're at the mercy of our landlord.
I usually don't have to water that often, although today our drip system broke for some reason, so the water was on for over 12 hours before the property manager could get someone over to fix it. Not looking forward to that water bill!
Okay, I just did the math and she's only 17. My mom-in-law found her as a kitten right after they came out of the theater from watching "Batman Returns", which came out in 1992.
